A one-year-old girl was killed when she was hit by a car in Leeds, police were called to an address on Coupland Road in response to reports of a small child being hit by a car on a driveway.

The one-year-old girl was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel. Unfortunately, she died in the hospital as a result of her injuries.

The Major Collision and Enquiry Team is still investigating, and the family is being assisted by specialist officers.

“Police were called to an address on Coupland Road, Leeds at about 8.10pm to a report a one year old child had been seriously injured in a collision with a car on a driveway,” a spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said. A small female child was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel.

“Sadly, the child died shortly afterwards from her injuries. Enquiries remain ongoing today by the Major Collision and Enquiry Team and specialist officers are working to support the family at what is clearly a tragic time.”
