An Indian man lit his mother on fire when she declined to give him money to purchase liquor.

According to the authorities, the 75-year-old mother was set on fire by her son. As soon as the event was reported, the police arrived on the scene and transported the injured woman to a hospital.

The victim, known as Thalekkattil Veettil Sreemati, has incurred 70% burns, according to the hospital management, as reported by India’s local news agency.

The police have taken control of her son, Manoj. The cops reported that the son routinely assaulted his mother for money to purchase alcohol.

On September 21, he nonetheless burned her by applying kerosene oil.
