Russian bombardment kills at least 20 in September says Kyiv
The Ukrainian SBU security service announced On Saturday, that Russian shelling of a civilian convoy in late September in an eastern “grey zone” between territory controlled by the Russians and territory controlled by the Ukrainians resulted in the deaths of at least 20 civilians. The incident took place in between territory controlled by the Russians and territory controlled by the Ukrainians.
According to a statement released by the SBU, shelling occurred between the occupied town of Svatove in the Luhansk area and the Ukrainian-held town of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region last month. The shelling caused damage to seven vehicles.
The Special Branch Unit (SBU) released gruesome photographs that depicted burnt human remains with smashed civilian automobiles that were found on a track near to a railway line. These images were published online. There were two bodies found inside the driving seats of their respective vehicles, with one of the bodies grasping the steering wheel.
According to reports from Russian state media, Russian-installed officials in eastern Ukraine have accused the Ukrainian capital of shelling a convoy of refugees who were being evacuated from the Kharkiv region, resulting in the deaths of approximately 30 civilians.
At first, it was unclear whether those authorities were referring to the same convoy that was being discussed.
