35 Russian prisoners of war were traded with Ukraine and sent back to Russia after talks, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

A statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense said, “On November 23, 35 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. They were in mortal danger while they were being held captive.”

“Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces’ military transport aviation will take the freed service members to Moscow, where they will be treated and rehabilitated at medical facilities run by the Russian Defense Ministry,” the report said.

The Ministry of Defense said that everyone who is set free will get medical and mental health care.

Earlier, the leader of the separatist Donetsk region, Denis Pushilin, said on his Telegram channel that Russia and Ukraine swapped 35 prisoners for 35 others.

He said, “We freed four people from the Donetsk People’s Republic and two from the Luhansk People’s Republic.”
