During a phone call on Friday, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, and the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, discussed ways to bolster the security of NATO’s eastern flank.

Sunak mentioned that the United Kingdom is increasing the capability of its forces and ramping up activity in the Baltic region.

Morawiecki agreed with Sunak’s statement. According to the spokesperson, the parties came to the conclusion that it was necessary to demonstrate to Putin that his attempts at intimidation would be fruitless.

“The Prime Minister said he looked forward to deepening the strong defense and security links between the UK and Poland, which he said would benefit the security of both countries, and Europe as a whole,” the spokesperson said.
