Nearly 20% of the unaccompanied minor migrants from Albania that Kent County Council has taken in this year have vanished.

Up until October 31st, the local government had taken in 197 Albanian children, 39 of whom had since vanished.

The findings, according to Ecpat UK, which works to protect kids from being exploited, are highly alarming.

The council claimed that in order to protect vulnerable children, it had closely collaborated with the Home Office and police.

According to the council, 197 Albanian youngsters who were processed at the Kent Intake Unit of the Home Office were placed in its custody between 1 January and 31 October.

It also mentioned that 39 people were listed as missing as of November 7th. However, it stated that some of those kids would have turned 18 by now.

44,122 individuals have crossed on tiny boats so far this year, according to government data compiled by the reputable media organization, compared to 28,461 who came in 2021.

This resulted in crowding at the Manston processing facility in Kent, which at one time was housing over 4,000 individuals, more than double its capacity.
