Green Bay, St. Louis, and Chicago could be hit hard by a snow storm Thursday, forecasters say.

NBC News’ Climate Unit predicts rain and snow for Memphis and Little Rock, Arkansas, Thursday afternoon and evening, and heavy rain for Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City.

West is already freezing. Minnesota got snow Wednesday. The State Patrol reported more than 200 collisions and 189 spinouts between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Nobody died.

More than 59 million people, from Missouri to Ohio, were under winter storm warnings Wednesday night.

Another 7 million were under blizzard warnings, and wind chill warnings included Texas and Tennessee. Fort Worth, Texas, will be 11 degrees on Thursday. Wind chill makes it colder.

Airlines have offered to forgo change fees or take other efforts to accommodate travelers.
