Prior to the performers taking the stage in front of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, dancers and dragons joined a march through Chinatown.

Additionally, demonstrations of martial arts, musical performances, and cultural events were held in the streets of the West End.

This celebration of Chinese New Year is the largest one outside of Asia.

According to Chinese astrology, the year of the rabbit, which happens once every twelve years, is the luckiest of the twelve animals.
