A resident of a nursing home in west London who is 44 years old has been taken into custody on suspicion of murdering another person who also lived at the facility.

On Monday, just before midnight, a man in his 60s who was receiving treatment at a facility for persons with mental health and substance addiction concerns on Lansbury Drive in Hayes passed away there.

Despite the presence of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the site. His family has been notified, and there will be an examination of the body after it has been brought in.

The investigation is being conducted by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Specialist Crime Command.
