Jordan: Two missing brothers were discovered dead one day after their enigmatic disappearance in the Basira neighborhood of the Tafilah Governorate, 183 kilometers southwest of Amman, the capital of Jordan.

Omar Suleiman Al Mazaydeh, 34, and his brother Ayman, 24, are shepherds who, according to local media accounts, left their home on Friday with their flock of sheep and never returned.

The sheep returned to their barn by themselves, which is what prompted the family to contact the police the same day the sheep vanished.

The remains of the siblings, who had been shot in the head, were discovered by a group of security personnel. To ascertain the cause of the deaths, the forensic department was consulted on the bodies.

According to the victim’s brother, his brothers passed away.

The victim’s brother told the media that his brothers’ deaths were caused by head wounds from gunshots. According to the Public Security Directorate’s spokeswoman, their death was under investigation for a crime.
