Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s nephew, Leonardo Rodrigues de Jesus, also known as “Leo Indio,” was among the protesters who stormed the Brazilian capital.

Indio shared several videos and photos of himself in the crowd surrounding the Brazilian Congress on his personal Instagram on Sunday.

Indio appears in one selfie photo wearing a green t-shirt and a black cap, his eyes visibly red.

Indio claims his eyes were red due to tear gas “fired by security forces” who “focused their attention on all the protesters” in a recently edited caption. In the post, he also denied being involved in “any vandalism” and claimed those responsible for destroying government buildings were “masked vandals and cowards dressed up as patriots.”
