Russia is purposefully understating the number of casualties it has sustained during its invasion of Ukraine, according to UK intelligence.

The Russian military shelter in the Donetsk region was attacked on New Year’s Eve, according to the London Ministry of Defense on Saturday.

Russia reported 89 army fatalities. However, according to British intelligence estimates, it is very possible that there were more than 300 casualties.

UK officials said that illustrates the “pervasive presence of disinformation in Russian public announcements”.
