After a worker was crushed and died while working on another gadget in central London, a second telescopic public urinal was taken down.

Firefighters released him near Cambridge Circus on Friday afternoon, but he was later declared dead there.

Pop-up restrooms are kept below ground and elevated hydraulically to street level for usage at night.

A telescoping urinal on Villiers Street, according to Westminster City Council, has been closed out of caution.

Near 13:05 GMT, crews were dispatched to the incident at the intersection of Shaftesbury Avenue and Charing Cross Road. By 15:40 GMT, the guy had been released.

To free him, firefighters utilized a winch.
