Almost 100 teens were attending a home party in Douglas County, Georgia, on Saturday when a tragic shooting occurred, leaving at least two individuals dead and six others injured.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Associated Press heard gunshots coming from the Douglasville residence between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The shooting, according to the police, was the result of a “confrontation,” and they have asked any potential witnesses to describe it and identify the shooter.

Adults may have been present during the incident, but it is uncertain because no one has been taken into custody as of yet.

“We are aware that well over a hundred youngsters attended a house party. Two people died as a result of the altercation, while six other people were shot and injured. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on Sunday stating that there is now very little information available.

If more than one person was involved in the shooting, the police are investigating that possibility. Further research is being done.
