TURKEY/GEORGIA: A Turkish military C-130 cargo plane crashed in Georgia while returning from Azerbaijan, the Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed.

The ministry said in an official social media statement that the plane went down during its flight, and Georgian authorities are cooperating in the ongoing search and rescue operation. Emergency teams have been sent to the crash site, and initial investigations have started to determine the cause of the accident.

No official details about the crew’s condition or possible casualties have been released so far. According to sources, the C-130 was part of the Turkish Air Force fleet and was on a routine logistics mission.

Georgian officials confirmed they are fully supporting Turkey in the rescue efforts. The incident has caused deep sorrow in Turkish defense and military circles as the operation continues.
