The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks targeting U.S. and allied interests across the Middle East.
According to statements released by the IRGC, the operations were carried out as part of the 87th wave of what it calls “Operation True Promise 4”. The group alleges that it successfully destroyed a U.S. warning radar system in Saudi Arabia and struck American and Israeli-linked targets in multiple locations.
The IRGC further claimed that a U.S. command center in the United Arab Emirates was destroyed, adding that more than 200 American personnel were present at a secret facility near Al Minhad Air Base at the time of the attack.
In Bahrain, the group reported targeting a site associated with commanders of the U.S. Fifth Fleet. It also claimed responsibility for striking an Israeli-owned cargo vessel in regional waters.
The IRGC stated that the attacks were conducted using missiles and drones, and named the latest wave “Ya Aba Abdillah al-Hussein.”” in tribute to a fallen commander.
The IRGC also signaled the possibility of further attacks against U.S. and allied targets in the near future, raising concerns about escalating tensions in the Middle East.
