UAE President give orders to release of 735 prisoners ahead of Ramadan
President Sheikh Mohamed has issued a directive to release 735 prisoners from correctional and penal facilities in anticipation of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Additionally, he will personally cover all fines and penalties imposed on these inmates, who had been serving jail terms for various offenses. Last year, Sheikh Mohamed similarly ordered the release of 1,018 inmates who met the conditions for amnesty during the country’s National Day celebrations.
These gestures underscore the UAE’s commitment to upholding humanitarian values and promoting forgiveness and compassion, particularly during significant religious and national occasions.
The decision reflects the leadership’s dedication to providing second chances and facilitating the reintegration of individuals into society. By extending such acts of clemency, President Sheikh Mohamed aims to alleviate the burden on prisoners and their families while fostering a spirit of unity and solidarity within the nation.
