The brilliant and famous Pakistani classical, ghazal, and playback singer and actor, Madam Noor Jehan, was born on 21 September 1926. She passed away on 23 December 2000 in Ramadan Ul Mubarak. Noor Jehan began her acting and singing career in India as a child artist and was the most sought-after young artist before the partition. She sang countless hit Punjabi and Urdu songs for Pakistani films and was honored with the title of “Malka E Tarranum.” Madam Noor Jehan also won multiple civil awards. She was the strong and loving mother of six children: Zil-e-Huma, Hina Durrani, Mina Hasan, Nazia Ejaz Khan, Akbar Hussain Rizvi, and Asghar Hussain Rizvi.

Recently, Nazia Ejaz Khan, Madam Noor Jehan’s daughter, appeared on a show called “Aap Ki Kahani,” hosted by Deepak Parwani. The show paid a beautiful tribute to Madam Noor Jehan, with Deepak Parwani sharing all the important details about her career. He also revealed the reason why Noor Jehan left the Indian film industry.

Sharing the details about Madam Noor Jehan’s early career, Deepak Parwani revealed, “Madam Noor Jehan left the Indian film industry only for Pakistan and his countrymen, she said, ‘I will go back to the place where I was born’ and she came back to Lahore and set up the Shanoor studio with her husband. They created Shahnoor studio together and started a whole new movement for the Pakistani film industry where she contributed a lot. Previously, she was having a brilliant career in India as a young actor and singer”.
