Rain, gusty winds likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other areas of Pakistan should prepare for more rain and gusty winds on Wednesday evening, continuing into Thursday and Friday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports that a westerly wave is currently impacting the upper and central parts of the country.
This weather pattern will bring increased rain, wind, and thunderstorms to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, upper and central Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from Wednesday evening through the next two days. Additionally, gusty winds with potential for raising dust are expected in the plains during the evening and night hours.
For Wednesday, Islamabad’s temperature is forecasted to range between 36°C and 20°C with morning clouds. The temperature feels like 34°C, with 22% humidity and no precipitation expected. The wind speed is around 14 km/h.
