Actor Adah Sharma recently faced backlash after moving into the Mumbai apartment once inhabited by the late Sushant Singh Rajput, where he was found dead in June 2020.
She is accused by many critics of exploiting Sushant’s name for publicity. In response, Adah made clear her position in an interview with India Today, saying, “You can not react to everything that has been said as an actor or even as a person. We all have a lot of things to do in life. Also, this is a free country, and everyone has the right to have an opinion.”
Adah emphasized her personal reasons for the move, asserting, “I am not here to tell anyone ‘I am a good person’ or give them reasons for my actions. I did what I had to do, and I know myself. And just like I don’t want anyone to change for me, I would also not change myself. I am really all settled in the house, and I really love the place.”
Earlier this year, she mentioned to Bombay Times, “I moved into the flat (Mont Blanc Apartments, Bandra) four months ago… I’m very sensitive to vibes, and this place gives me positive ones.” The apartment, reportedly rented by Sushant for ₹4.5 lakh per month, spans 3,600 sq ft and features three bedrooms. Adah’s move marks a significant change for her, having lived in the same house in Pali Hill for most of her life.
