After enduring six consecutive losses, the Pakistan cricket team finally secured a victory in a Test match. In the second Test held in Multan, Pakistan defeated England by 152 runs.

Chasing a target of 297 runs, England began their innings on the fourth day at 36 runs with 2 wickets down. However, the batting lineup faltered, and the entire team collapsed for just 144 runs.

Captain Ben Stokes managed to score 37 runs, while Brydon Carse contributed 27. Other notable scores included Ollie Pope with 22, Joe Root with 18, and Harry Brook with 16. Zach Crawley (3), Jack Leach (1), and the duo of Ben Duckett and Shoaib Bashir went out without scoring.

For Pakistan, Noman Ali was the standout bowler, claiming 8 wickets, while Sajid Khan took 2 wickets.

In their second innings, Pakistan scored 221 runs, setting England a target of 297 runs. Salman Agha led the team with a score of 63 runs, followed by Saud Shakeel with 31, Kamran Ghulam with 26, and Mohammad Rizwan with 23. Captain Shan Masood scored 11 runs, while Abdullah Shafique and Aamer Jamal managed just 4 and 1 run, respectively.

On the English side, Shoaib Bashir took 4 wickets, while Jack Leach claimed 3, Brydon Carse took 2, and Matthew Potts added 1 to the tally.

In their first innings, England was all out for 291 runs in response to Pakistan’s total of 366 runs. Ben Duckett was the top scorer for England with 114 runs, supported by Joe Root with 34, Ollie Pope with 29, and Zach Crawley with 27. Pakistan’s Sajid Khan took 7 wickets, and Noman Ali took 3.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first, with Kamran Ghulam making an impressive debut century, scoring 118 runs, while Saim Ayub contributed 77 runs. Other contributions came from Mohammad Rizwan (41), Aamer Jamal (37), Noman Ali (32), Salman Agha (31), Abdullah Shafique (7), and captain Shan Masood (3). Zahid Mahmood remained not out with 2 runs.

England’s bowling attack was led by Jack Leach, who took 4 wickets, followed by Brydon Carse with 3, Matthew Potts with 2, and Shoaib Bashir with 1. This victory marks a significant turnaround for Pakistan in the Test series.
