Nida Yasir opens up about evil eye’s impact on her family “Evil Eye shook our peace”

Nida Yasir, one of Pakistan’s top television hosts, has been hosting morning shows for nearly 16 years. With a strong Instagram following of 2.6 million, she has also made her mark as a successful producer, delivering hit projects like “Chakkar”, “Mehrunissa V Lub U”, “Wrong Number”, “Nadaniyan”, and others.

Recently, Nida Yasir revealed that her family’s struggles with the evil eye were a result of her own carefree and overly friendly attitude.

While talking about it, Nida Yasir said, “The evil eye is real—it happens to almost all of us. Many of us experience it, especially when it comes to our children. I’ve personally gone through it many times. Whenever I used to post pictures of my children on social media, they would fall sick. It’s tried and tested: whenever I shared their photos, they became unwell. Now I understand why people put emojis over faces in pictures. Many may make fun of it, but I know exactly why they do it—because I always post my kids’ pictures without hiding their faces. Today, I’ve posted our anniversary reel. May Allah protect us from the evil eye.” Actress Beena Chaudhary also shared that whenever she posts pictures with her husband, they end up fighting that same day.

Nida Yasir further added that “she can’t hide her happiness from friends and loves to share her success—whether on a show or with her close ones—without thinking about the negative impacts, because it gives her inner happiness and satisfaction”.
