Bushra Ansari’s new statement about Ex-Husband Iqbal Ansari

Karachi: Renowned Pakistani actress, singer, and host Bushra Ansari has candidly spoken about her first marriage, describing her former husband as “very demanding.”

Bushra Ansari first married Iqbal Ansari, a successful TV producer and director, in 1978. Their marriage ended in 2014, after which the actress later married Iqbal Hussain.

The veteran actress has often discussed her first marriage and former husband in various programs. In a recent interview, she reflected on her earlier perception of marriage. “Before marriage, we thought a husband and wife would live with love and happiness because we saw our parents love each other so much, but it wasn’t like that at all,” she shared.

Bushra Ansari revealed that when she first got married, her husband was a successful individual who understood the intricacies of the industry. However, on a personal level, he was a “normal husband” but “very demanding,” always wanting everything.

She further commented on a broader cultural issue, stating, “In Pakistan, mothers prepare men like this; mothers don’t let their sons do things themselves.”

Despite her recent remarks, Bushra Ansari has previously come out in support of her former husband. In an earlier interview, she stated that she stops people from speaking ill of Iqbal Ansari.

“People speak wrongly about my former husband, Iqbal Ansari,” the actress said. “Morally, it is my duty to stop people from doing that.”
