Islamabad: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) held special ceremonies across all airbases nationwide to mark Martyrs’ Day. The day began with Quran recitations and prayers for all the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country, including those who sacrificed during the 1965 and 1971 wars, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to ISPR, the central Martyrs’ Day ceremony was held at the Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu attended as the chief guest. The Air Chief said that Martyrs’ Day symbolizes sacrifice, courage, and professional dedication, and the Pakistan Air Force remains fully committed to its mission amid evolving security challenges.

He highlighted the PAF’s achievements in the “Battle of Truth” and “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” operations as a testament to its capability and determination, describing the sacrifices of the martyrs as a guiding light for future generations. He emphasized that the nation owes a debt of gratitude to its martyrs and their sacrifices will always be remembered.

On this occasion, the Air Chief also expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial, followed by a recitation of Fateha for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks.

The Pakistan Air Force paid tribute to its martyrs on this day and reaffirmed its dedication and zeal to protect the country.
