Polling is currently underway for by-elections on 12 vacant local government seats across six districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Voting is being held for vacant seats reserved for women, laborers, farmers, and youth. The polling will continue until 4:00 PM today.

In Dera Ismail Khan, voting is taking place for general, youth, and women’s seats in three village councils. The total number of registered voters in the district is 25,000, including 11,500 female voters.

In Malakand, polling is being held for one general seat in the Sakhakot Village Council. Voting is also ongoing in Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Upper Dir districts.

According to the Election Commission, a total of 66 polling stations and 201 polling booths have been set up.

The commission has declared 23 polling stations as sensitive and 5 as highly sensitive.
