Fans were left stunned when K-pop sensation Hyuna suddenly collapsed during her performance at the Waterbomb Macau music festival on Sunday, November 9. The 33-year-old South Korean singer, who is known for her energetic performances, appeared visibly fatigued before fainting while performing her hit song Bubble Pop!.

In a dramatic moment, Hyuna fell to the ground mid-dance, prompting immediate action from fellow performers and a security guard who rushed to her aid. The audience fell silent as she was quickly escorted off the stage.

Later that same day, Hyuna took to Instagram to address her fans, apologizing for the incident and expressing her regret. “I’m truly, truly sorry,” she wrote. “I wanted to give my best, but I feel I didn’t perform professionally.” She also revealed that she has no memory of the incident.
Hyuna acknowledged the disappointment of fans who had come to see her perform, especially those who had paid for tickets. “I’ll work harder to improve my stamina,” she assured her followers, adding that she was feeling fine and urged them not to worry.

Reports suggest that in the weeks leading up to the festival, Hyuna had lost 10kg due to an intense diet plan, which could have contributed to her collapse. The extreme weight loss, combined with the physical demands of her performance, likely led to the health scare.
Hyuna has been open about her health struggles in the past, having been diagnosed with vasovagal syncope in 2020, a condition that causes a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate. The condition, which is often triggered by stress, fatigue, and weight loss, can result in a temporary loss of consciousness, as seen during her performance.

A former member of Wonder Girls and 4Minute, Hyuna has since enjoyed a successful solo career, earning widespread recognition for her talent and charisma. Fans continue to send her their well wishes as she focuses on recovery and strengthening her health for future performances.
