Accra: Pakistan’s Waseem Khatri achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Bronze Medal at the World Scrabble Championship.

In the mega event held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, Waseem Khatri won 22 out of 32 matches.

However, due to a slight margin, he was unable to secure a spot in the final. Nevertheless, his excellent performance will help improve his global ranking.

On the other hand, Pakistan also delivered a splendid performance in the Team Event. The national team, comprising Waseem Khatri, Hassaan Hadi, Ahzam Siddiqi, Muhammad Inayatullah, and Tariq Parvez, secured the fourth position overall.

More than 200 players from 28 countries participated in the championship. Canada’s Adam Logan defeated New Zealand’s Nigel Richards 4-2 to claim the title of World Champion.
