Renowned Pakistani actor and singer Fawad Khan has finally broken his silence over recent controversies and the continuous criticism he has faced.
From his web series Barzakh to the release of the Indian film Abir Gulaal during heightened Pakistan-India tensions, and his subsequent participation as a judge on the Pakistan Idol panel, Fawad has been at the center of public scrutiny and strong reactions from various quarters.
In a recent interview, Fawad described 2025 as “the year of criticism” and emphasized that while constructive criticism is necessary, it should aim at improvement rather than personal attacks or character assassination.
Speaking on a private TV show while promoting his upcoming film Nilofar, he addressed multiple questions, saying, “If people want to criticize, they are free to do so. I have no issue with that. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but criticism should serve as a tool for growth and not just to demean someone.”
Fawad added that most of the feedback he received this year was negative, which is why he often refrains from responding publicly reacting only amplifies the noise without resolving anything.
The actor also urged the public to practice mutual respect and tolerance, noting that differences of opinion exist worldwide, not just in Pakistan, but that the cycle of throwing mud at one another must end.
