Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff, General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, visited GHQ Rawalpindi where he was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army. The visiting Saudi military delegation also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs.
According to ISPR, General Al-Ruwaili held a meeting with Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment, and ongoing bilateral defence cooperation.
The military leadership of both countries agreed to further strengthen Pak–Saudi strategic, military, and defence partnership. Special emphasis was placed on expanding defence collaboration, security cooperation, and progress in counterterrorism efforts.
General Al-Ruwaili expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s continued defence cooperation and said that military ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are crucial for ensuring peace and stability in the region.
ISPR stated that bilateral military relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are expected to grow even stronger in the coming days.
