Farewell ceremony held in honor of CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza

Farewell ceremony was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters in honor of General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

A farewell ceremony was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters in honor of CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, in which the sacrifices of the armed forces were also saluted.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a grand farewell ceremony was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters in honor of General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, which was attended by senior officers of the three armed forces, including the former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

The ceremony paid tribute to General Sahir Shamshad’s 40 years of exemplary service.

Speaking during the ceremony, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said that he was grateful to God for serving the country and nation for 40 years with honesty and complete integrity.

He said that in the current geo-strategic environment, Pakistan’s strong defense is indispensable, while the nation’s defense is impregnable.

He expressed his determination that the officers and men of the armed forces are fully prepared to further strengthen the defense of Pakistan.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was presented with the Tri-Services Guard of Honour at the ceremony. On his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, he was bid farewell with traditional respect and warmth.

The armed forces also paid tribute to the martyrs and their families, while saluting the great sacrifices of the armed forces.
