KARACHI: A total of 15 domestic and international flights were canceled at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, due to adverse weather conditions, technical issues, and low passenger numbers, airport sources confirmed. The cancellations caused significant inconvenience to travelers.
Among the affected Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights, PK-306 from Karachi to Lahore (7:00 pm), PK-307 from Lahore to Karachi, and PK-330 from Karachi to Multan (1:00 pm) were canceled.
Several private airline flights were also impacted, including Karachi–Lahore round trips 145 and 146 (7:00 pm), Karachi–Islamabad round trips 123 and 124 (1:00 pm), Karachi–Islamabad flight 141, and Karachi–Lahore flight 404 (5:00 pm).
On the international front, Ethiopian Airlines’ Karachi–Addis Ababa flight at 5:00 pm, Salam Air’s Karachi–Muscat flight, and Gulf Air’s Karachi–Bahrain round trips 750 and 751 were canceled.

Meanwhile, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected to prevail across most parts of the country today, according to the latest forecast. Dense fog and smog are also likely to affect several regions, particularly during morning and night hours.
In Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, moderate to dense fog and smog are expected to persist, which may disrupt road and air travel. Islamabad and surrounding areas are likely to experience cold weather with partly cloudy skies.
