DUBAI: Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team has qualified for the Asia Cup final, where they will face arch-rivals India in a decisive clash.

In the semi-final held in Dubai, Pakistan outclassed Bangladesh in a dominant performance. Winning the toss, captain Farhan Yousuf elected to bowl first, putting the Bangladeshi batsmen under immediate pressure.

Bangladesh lost their first wicket in the fifth over at just 24 runs when Ali Raza dismissed Rafat Baig, caught by the captain. Mohammad Siyam was next to fall for 9 runs, trapped by Zawad Abrar.

The Bangladeshi team struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack, eventually being bowled out for 121 runs. Abdul Subhan produced a devastating spell, claiming four wickets, while Huzaifa Ahsan added two more.

Chasing 122, Pakistan’s batsmen delivered a commanding performance, reaching the target with only two wickets down in 16.3 overs — 63 balls ahead of the allotted 27 overs. Sameer Manhas played a match-winning innings, scoring 69 runs and anchoring the chase.

The match had been reduced to 27 overs per side due to rain. Pakistan will now face India in the final, promising an exciting showdown.
