Global football icon and the world’s first billionaire footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has further deepened his ties with Saudi Arabia by reportedly purchasing ultra-luxury private villas at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, nestled within the Kingdom’s ambitious Red Sea development.

According to international media reports, the exclusive residences are located nearly 26 kilometres off the Saudi mainland, accessible only by chartered boat or seaplane, underscoring the project’s promise of absolute privacy, serenity, and elite living.

Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodríguez are believed to be among the earliest investors in the prestigious destination, which offers only 19 bespoke villas designed for high-net-worth individuals.

Each residence is valued from SAR 15.5 million, combining cutting-edge architectural design with untouched natural landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and world-class hospitality services.

Reports suggest that the couple acquired two separate villas one for private family use and another as part of their growing luxury property portfolio.

Speaking about the destination, Ronaldo described the island as a place of peace and connection, praising its breathtaking natural beauty and tranquil environment a rare retreat from his high-profile global lifestyle.

The investment comes as Ronaldo continues to dominate headlines in Saudi Arabia following his historic move to Al Nassr, where his record-breaking contract made him the highest-paid footballer in history, further elevating the Saudi Pro League’s global stature.

Beyond luxury, the Red Sea project represents Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to redefine premium tourism with a strong focus on environmental sustainability, aiming for a net positive ecological impact by 2040, including the protection of coral reefs, mangroves, and marine ecosystems.

With this high-profile investment, Cristiano Ronaldo once again signals his long-term confidence in Saudi Arabia not just as a football destination, but as a rising global hub for luxury, innovation, and sustainable development.
