The notification was issued by Additional District Magistrate Sahib Zada Muhammad Yousaf, declaring a public holiday in Islamabad.

According to the notification, all offices providing essential services will remain open despite the holiday. It states that December 26, 2025 (Friday), has been declared a local holiday within the revenue limits of the Islamabad Capital Territory.

However, essential departments including the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), Capital Development Authority (CDA), ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL, and hospitals will continue to operate as usual.
