Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its latest weather advisory, stating that cold and dry conditions will prevail across most parts of the country today.

According to the department, intense cold is expected to continue in the mountainous regions, where temperatures are likely to remain well below seasonal averages.

In the plains, dense fog is forecast to envelop large parts of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, potentially disrupting road traffic and reducing visibility during the early hours.

The Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir may experience patches of fog and mist in the morning. Similarly, Islamabad and its surrounding areas are expected to remain chilly and dry, with the possibility of localized fog at dawn.

Meanwhile, Balochistan is set to experience cold and arid weather across most districts, while the province’s northern areas may face severe cold conditions. Fog is also likely to affect Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Dera Murad Jamali, Jafarabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Sibi, and adjoining regions.

The PMD has advised citizens to exercise caution during foggy conditions, particularly while traveling on highways and major roads.
