Pakistan’s women’s futsal team created history on Tuesday by securing their first-ever international victory, defeating Sri Lanka 3–2 at the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship currently underway in Thailand.
The milestone win marks a significant breakthrough for Pakistan in international women’s futsal, highlighting the team’s growing presence on the regional stage.
The closely contested encounter saw forward Aizwa Chaudhry deliver a standout performance, scoring a hat-trick to lead Pakistan to victory. Her goals proved decisive in a match that remained intense until the final moments.
Pakistan maintained their composure under pressure in the closing stages to clinch their maiden win at the tournament. The SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship features teams from across South Asia and is being hosted in Thailand.
