Apple is gearing up to enter the foldable smartphone arena with its highly anticipated iPhone Fold, expected to launch in September 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, according to industry reports.

Supply chain analyst Jeff Pu, cited by 9To5Google, says the foldable iPhone will pack major upgrades, including Apple’s A20 Pro chip built on TSMC’s 2nm process and the second-generation C2 modem, potentially making it the most powerful iPhone ever.

Expected Features:

  • Premium aluminium and titanium frame for durability and elegance.

  • 7.8-inch foldable internal display with a 5.3-inch external cover screen.

  • Touch ID support, a first for Apple’s foldable design.

  • Dual rear cameras: 48MP primary and 48MP ultra-wide lens, similar to the iPhone 18 Pro, though without variable aperture.

  • Dual front cameras (18MP each) for selfies and video calls one on the cover display, another on the foldable screen.

Apple’s iPhone Fold aims to combine premium design, cutting-edge performance, and flexible functionality, marking a bold step into the foldable smartphone market and setting the stage for the next generation of iPhones.
