Fans of Paramount+ hit series Landman are already looking ahead to Season 3 after the dramatic ending of Season 2. Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, the oil-industry drama has become one of the platform’s biggest successes, drawing record-breaking viewership and strong audience interest.
Season 2 ended with its final episode, “Tragedy and Flies,” on January 18, 2026, leaving major changes within the Norris family and their oil business. Soon after, Paramount+ officially renewed Landman for a third season in December 2025, highlighting the show’s massive popularity. Reports say the Season 2 premiere gained over 9 million views within two days, making it the most-watched original series on the platform by late 2025.
The series has earned praise for its gripping storytelling, sharp dialogue, and powerful performances. Billy Bob Thornton leads the cast as Tommy Norris, supported by Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Sam Elliott, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, and others, all of whom add depth to the intense family and business drama.
The Season 2 finale marked a major shift when Tommy Norris was removed from his leadership position at M-Tex Oil by Cami Miller. Instead of stepping away from the oil business, Tommy chose to start fresh by launching a new company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, alongside his family and close allies. This decision sets the stage for a new chapter in Season 3, with Cooper stepping into a leadership role, while other family members handle key responsibilities within the company.
Personal storylines are also expected to continue, including Ainsley’s college life, possible wedding plans for Jacob, and the complicated relationship between Tommy and Angela. Ongoing tensions with powerful rivals like Gallino and unresolved issues surrounding M-Tex Oil are likely to drive future conflicts.
While Paramount+ has not announced an official release date for Season 3, many expect it to arrive in late 2026, following the show’s previous release pattern. Filming is rumored to begin in spring 2026, though scheduling conflicts could potentially delay production.
Most of the main cast is expected to return, including Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Sam Elliott, Demi Moore, and Andy Garcia. Jon Hamm, however, will not return following the conclusion of his character’s storyline in Season 2.
Both seasons of Landman are currently available to stream on Paramount+, making it easy for viewers to catch up or rewatch the series. As the story moves forward, Season 3 is expected to focus on the rise of the new oil company, growing family tensions, and fresh power struggles in the high-risk world of West Texas oil.
With more drama, ambition, and emotional twists ahead, Landman Season 3 is shaping up to be another intense chapter in the Norris family’s journey.
