KARACHI: Cricket West Indies have announced a 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held from February 7 to March 8 under the joint hosting of India and Sri Lanka.

Wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope has been named captain of the two-time world champion side. Hope makes his return to the squad after missing the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan in Dubai, which West Indies lost 2–1.

The squad also includes experienced campaigners Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Sherfane Rutherford, and Romario Shepherd, strengthening the team with both all-round and power-hitting options.

Placed in Group C, West Indies will begin their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on February 7 against Scotland at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Following the opening match, the Caribbean side will travel to Mumbai, where they will face England on February 11 and Nepal on February 15. Their final group-stage fixture is scheduled against Italy on February 19 in Kolkata.

The West Indies team will be aiming to reclaim past glory as they enter the tournament with a balanced mix of experience and emerging talent.
