WhatsApp introduces news exciting feature

WhatsApp also released a new Android beta update.

WhatsApp has officially introduced a new feature aimed at improving interaction with Status updates. The new Status Reaction Stickers allow users to react to photos or videos by adding any emoji as a sticker, making conversations more expressive and engaging.

These reactions appear privately in the creator’s chat, and in some cases include animated effects such as confetti to make interactions more lively.

Each emoji reaction creates a visual effect that helps users express themselves in a more personalized way. According to WABetaInfo, the feature uses Lottie, an open-source animation format that enables smooth animations while keeping file sizes small.

To use the feature, users need to open WhatsApp, go to the Status tab, view a status, tap the sticker icon, select reaction, and choose an emoji. The reaction then appears instantly on the status.

Earlier, WhatsApp also released a new Android beta update, version 2.26.3.10, through the Google Play Beta Program.

Although there are no visible changes, reports suggest that WhatsApp is working on a new “thinking mode” for Meta AI.

This upcoming feature may allow users to choose how the AI responds, either through a fast mode that gives quick and short replies or a thinking mode that takes more time to provide detailed and structured answers for complex questions.

Developers have found signs of a simple mode selector inside the Meta AI chat, possibly represented by icons such as a thunder symbol for fast mode and a light bulb for thinking mode.

The feature is still under development, with no confirmed release date, but it indicates that Meta is working to make its AI assistant smarter and more capable in future updates.
