A new era of Pokémon battles is on the horizon one that promises depth, strategy, and a seamless connection across generations of gameplay.

The Pokémon Company has officially confirmed that its upcoming title, Pokémon Champions, will launch on April 8, 2026, for both Nintendo Switch and the next-generation Switch 2, sparking excitement across the gaming community.

The announcement was made during the Pokémon Day Pokémon Presents showcase, where the company also revealed key features and gameplay enhancements.

A Starter Pack bundle will be available at launch, offering players added perks such as bonus battle music, increased Pokémon storage, and other exclusive in-game advantages.

The Switch 2 edition will include enhanced visuals and performance upgrades, delivering a more immersive and refined gaming experience.

A standout feature of Pokémon Champions is its integration with Pokémon Home, enabling players to use Pokémon collected from previous titles in competitive battles. This cross-game connectivity is expected to elevate strategy and player engagement.

The game will introduce powerful new forms, including Mega Feraligatr, Mega Meganium, and Mega Emboar, each equipped with unique abilities. Mega Meganium’s “Mega Sol” allows moves to function as if under harsh sunlight conditions, Mega Emboar’s Mold Breaker bypasses certain defensive abilities, while Mega Feraligatr’s “Dragonize” transforms Normal-type moves into Dragon-type attacks and enhances their strength.

In addition to its console release, a mobile version of Pokémon Champions is also scheduled to launch later in 2026, expanding access for players across multiple platforms.
