Peshawar Zalmi defeated Rawalpindiz by five wickets in the third match of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Batting first after winning the toss, Rawalpindiz posted a huge total of 214 for 4, setting a target of 215 runs. The side made a strong start and reached 100 runs in the first 10 overs without losing a wicket. Yasir Khan played a brilliant knock of 83 off 46 balls, while captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 41 off 32 balls. Kamran Ghulam added 37 runs, while Daryl Mitchell contributed 23.
In reply, Peshawar Zalmi chased down the massive target in a thrilling contest, reaching 215 in the first ball of the 19th over. Mohammad Haris scored 47, Babar Azam made 39, Kusal Mendis added 31, while Michael Bracewell scored 35. Abdul Samad also played an important knock of 33 runs.
The match was played at Gaddafi Stadium with strict security arrangements.
This is the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, featuring teams divided into two groups, with a total of 44 matches to be played across Lahore and Karachi.
