President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have lauded the security forces for their successful operation in Bannu and nearby areas, where 24 terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based action.
Both leaders praised the forces’ efforts against those involved in attacks on security personnel and civilians, reaffirming the government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism.
In separate statements, President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the timely and effective response of security forces and law enforcement agencies against elements responsible for attacks on police personnel and innocent civilians, particularly in Bannu.
President Zardari said operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and their facilitators allegedly working under Indian patronage would continue until their complete elimination.
He said the entire nation stood united with the security forces and law enforcement agencies in their efforts to protect the country and counter terrorist threats.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said eliminating terrorists and their facilitators remained the government’s top priority.
He reaffirmed the government’s determination to foil the plans of Indian-backed terrorist elements and ensure that those involved in attacks on security personnel and civilians are brought to justice.
