Prince Harry’s ties to the royal family are back in the spotlight after Princess Beatrice was photographed having lunch with broadcaster Piers Morgan, a longtime critic of Meghan Markle.
The photos have fueled fresh claims that Prince Harry has grown distant from both Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The reports surfaced shortly after Prince Harry visited the UK earlier this month.
Meghan later joined him along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during which the family was privately hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House.
Around the same time, photos emerged showing Princess Beatrice meeting with Morgan, one royal commentator suggested the lunch would likely bother Harry and Meghan, given Morgan’s long history of publicly criticizing the couple.
The report added that some see it as evidence Harry and Meghan have been shut out of their cousins lives, arguing it’s unlikely either sister would dine with Morgan if they still valued their relationship with the couple.
Morgan has repeatedly criticized Prince Harry and Meghan across newspaper columns, television appearances, and social media over the years.
Prince Harry has previously responded to Morgan’s criticism, accusing him of running a sustained campaign of personal attacks. Harry has also tied Morgan criticism to his own legal case involving phone hacking at Mirror Group Newspapers.
