Pakistan’s national hockey team came from behind to defeat South Korea 4-3 in the third match of the ongoing Pakistan-Korea Test Series at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium.
Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch attended the match as the chief guest and watched the exciting contest from the stadium. He praised the performances of both teams after the match.
During the closing ceremony, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani presented a commemorative shield to the chief guest. PHF Development Committee Chairman Olympian Hassan Sardar, PHF Selection Committee Chairman Olympian Samiullah Khan, and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Yawar Hussain were also present.
South Korea made a strong start and took a 1-0 lead by the end of the first half. Pakistan responded with an impressive second-half performance, scoring four goals to complete a 4-3 comeback victory.
Hayat Zakriya scored Pakistan’s first goal in the 32nd minute, followed by Rana Waheed Ashraf in the 45th minute, Abdul Rehman in the 55th minute, and Shahid Hannan in the 57th minute. All four goals came from field play.
South Korea’s goals came from Kim Hyung Jin, who converted a penalty corner in the 10th minute, Jang Ji Hun, who scored from a penalty corner in the 33rd minute, and Kim Yong, who scored a field goal in the 50th minute.
The match was officiated by umpires Fahad Ali Khan and Haroon Rasheed. Muhammad Sajid Raza served as the reserve umpire, while Haroon Asad Abbas was the video umpire.
Other match officials included scoring judge Adnan Shahzad, timing judge Mehboob Javed, technical officer Muhammad Waqas Khan, technical delegate Muhammad Shafiq, umpires manager Faiz Muhammad Faizi, media coordinator Muhammad Waqas Sheikh, PHF camp coordinator Abdul Nasir Akhunzada, and chief coordinator for operations Najeeb Khattak.
