Disappointment for Quetta Gladiators fans, as its fast bowler Anwar Ali tested positive for Covid-19, due to which his fans would be unable to see him in Abu Dhabi cricket stadium. He was traveling to Abu Dhabi tomorrow for the remaining matches of PSL. All the players were taken to Abu Dhabi on a chartered flight from Karachi and Lahore

On Monday at the hotel in Karachi, Anwar tested positive for COVID, in his second test also on Tuesday he was tested positive. Before arriving in the hotel he had tested negative, however, he has been moved to another floor of the hotel where he will be isolated for at least ten days, and after getting two negative tests he will be set free.

Following the strict COVID protocols, PCB has taken certain measures. Delegates of all six franchises are required to quarantine themselves for seven days in their hotel room after arriving in Abu Dhabi. After testing negative they would be allowed to enter the bio-secure environment. There would be three different bubbles, one would be for the players, PCB officials, match officials, support staff, and hotel staff; the second bubble would have in a different hotel having, TV production staff and main event management staffs; and the third is the space kept for the ground staff.

On May 26, Pakistani’s along with the Sri Lankan’s will travel to Abu Dhabi, as UAE set certain travel restrictions for some countries, including Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and only chartered flights are allowed to enter.

PCB allowed Indian and South African broadcasters, production, and people who are involved with the PSL to participate, however, they have to travel on a chartered flight and quarantine themselves for ten days in a different hotel.

After losing the fast-bowler Naseem Shah Gladiators loses another fast bowler Anwar. Naseem violated the Covid-19 guidelines by arriving at the hotel in Lahore with a negative Covid-19 report from a non-compliant PCR test, as a result, he was released by the team.
