What is the best playing XI lineup for Pakistan in ICC T20 WC?

Recently Aalia Rasheed, the first Pakistani female cricket anchor, tweeted about what should be the playing XI lineup for the ICC T20 World Cup.

The lineup should be like this;

  1. Fakhar Zaman
  2. Muhammad Rizwan
  3. Babar Azam
  4. Muhammad Hafeez
  5. Shoaib Maqsood
  6. Shoaib Malik
  7. Muhammad Wasim Jr.
  8. Imad Wasim
  9. Wahab Raiz
  10. Hasan Ali
  11. Shaheen Shah Afridi

Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Rizwan will prove to be a good opening pair as Fakhar plays aggressively, while Rizwan plays moderately. Babar Azam also plays moderately, so he should play at third.

Sharjeel Khan could also play in place of Fakhar Zaman as he is also a power-hitter and can score well in the powerplay overs.

Muhammad Hafeez plays well in the middle order. Shoaib Maqsood can be a better choice at fifth as he players moderately and has been playing at this position for quite some time now.

Shoaib Malik is a good choice as he is best at playing spinners. he has produced good results while facing slow bowlers. he can lift up the score during the middle overs.

In place of Faheem Ashraf Muhammad Waseem Jr. should be given a chance. he has displayed outstanding performance during the Kashmir Premier League (KPL). During the last few T20 matches, Faheem has been unable to produce good results.

Wahab Raiz can be a good choice as he is an experienced bowler. He portrayed a good performance during the KPL.
