With almost 16,000 straight strokes, a pair of identical twins established a Guinness World Record on a pickleball court in Connecticut.
Former tennis players Angelo and Ettore Rossetti, who previously established Guinness World Records for longest tennis rally and longest tennis volley rally, spent 6 hours and 11 minutes Sunday at the Tennis & Fitness Center of Rocky Hill swinging their pickleball paddles to create a new record.
According to the brothers, they had set a goal of 15,000 shots and had surpassed it by more than 1,000 shots.
The attempt, which took place on World Mental Health Day, collected money for Charity Save the Children.
Earlier, when one of two Idaho men tossed 35 ping pong balls that the other caught in a mound of shaving cream on his head, they recaptured a Guinness World Record.
First established the record at 29 catches in 30 seconds with Jonathan “Hollywood” Hannon, but it was surpassed just a few months later by another couple who made 32 catches in 30 seconds, David Rush, who has broken more than 200 Guinness World Records to promote STEM education.
