Elon Musk says Tesla moving headquarters to Texas
Tesla chief Elon Musk told investors on Thursday that the leading electric vehicle maker is...
When it comes to space exploration, the world’s wealthiest man has an insatiable appetite for all things extraterrestrial. Someone has pointed out that the net worth of Elon Musk has expanded tenfold, the SpaceX CEO has acknowledged it and indicated his desire to continue with his goal regarding Mars. His remark quickly drew a lot of attention and split netizens online.
Musk is now wealthier than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined, according to renowned crypto YouTuber Matt Wallace, with a net value of 861 billion Dogecoin. In response, the rich businessman said, “Hopefully enough to extend life to Mars.”
This comes after Tesla CEO Elon Musk became the third person in history to create a wealth of $200 billion, overtaking Amazon founder and rival billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Many people joined Wallace and Musk to exchange memes and jokes about whether Dogecoin would be the money on Mars, while others explored the problems that Musk’s idea would face if it became a reality.
However, not everyone was happy with the concept of leaving Earth and ignoring its problems, with some questioning why such large sums of money are not being utilized to fix problems on the planet we now inhabit.
The statement comes amid increased criticism of billionaires for using space exploration as a recreational hobby, despite the fact that many, including Prince Charles and Bill Gates, have stated that “we have a lot to do here on Earth.” After seeing Musk’s response, several netizens felt the same way.
Here’s how netizens reacted:

It's been now almost half a century since humans were last on the moon. That's too long, we need to get back there and have a permanent base on the moon —again, like a big permanently occupied base on the moon. And then build a city on Mars to become a spacefaring civilization. pic.twitter.com/TKWRLc54By

If we can build an atmosphere on Mars. Why can't we repair the one on earth? 🤔🤔

Why don't you spend some money on large water purification systems or air filtration systems for inner cities instead of trying to colonize a barren dangerous planet? I get it it's cool but is it really necessary? Or even Fusion for never-ending energy. Just a thought.
