Ryan Reynolds has decided to take a break from acting

Ryan Reynolds has announced that he will take a “little sabbatical” from filmmaking.

Reynolds has decided to take a break from acting after finishing filming on his most recent project, the upcoming holiday film Spirited.

The actor announced the completion of filming for the film in an Instagram post full of behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

“That’s it for me on Spirited.” Even three years ago, I’m not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging,” he writes.

“Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists” he continues.

Ryan also shares his delight at the prospect of working with Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer, both of whom he has previously worked with.

He doesn’t say how long his leave will last, instead of concluding his post by expressing his gratitude for his good fortune.

“These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.”
